Patterned Rectangular Stand
Product Specs:
8.75" x 6" x H2"
Ceramic
A handmade ceramic stand by Jang Hun Seong, featuring a repeating geometric pattern carved across the glazed interior surface. The exterior is left unglazed with a coarse, stone-like texture, while the arched base draws from classical Korean furniture forms. Designed to hold a teapot, tea tray, or decorative object, it brings quiet structure to any tea setting or shelf arrangement.
Jang Hun Seong is a Korean ceramic artist based in Icheon, a region known for its long ceramic tradition. His work reflects a focus on material and process, shaped by years of studying both Korean and Japanese pottery.
He creates his own ash glaze using rice straw, known as “Hoeryong” glaze. Applied as a second layer, it flows naturally during firing, creating soft, marbled patterns. Each piece shows subtle variations, reflecting the character of the clay and the making process.
- Made by Jang Hun Seong in Icheon, Korea
- Hand wash recommended
*Every piece is handcrafted and hand-painted. The size and color may vary slightly.
